Question about saving a file to my pc...?

I have what is probably a silly, easy question for someone... I have found some printable worksheets online, that I want to save to my pc... preferably in Adobe Format. I have tried and it says it is the wrong format. When I right click and put 'save as' it just saves the web shortcut, not the actual worksheet. Can someone give me any suggestions??? Thanks!!!
