Should it bother me.........?

me and my boyfriend have recently gotten together. He doesn't like pda at all, i am not saying that i want to make out with him in front of everyone but he wont hug me or hold my hand in front of anybody and he doesn't want people to know we are dating, but we are close when we are alone. it bothers me a lot what should I do?
