Abiotic factors include tropical/subtropical solar heat, and bodies of water such as lakes, rivers and estuaries (also in some places sandy areas to lay eggs). Biotic factors include potential prey such as fish, turtles, various mammals and occasionally birds. Also predators of crocodile eggs and young crocodiles such as monitor lizards, fish eagles, genet cats etc. And for some species, vegetation to form nests.
