How do you make a fleece tie blancket?

I have 2 yards of fleece (four total i have 2 yards for the top piece and 2 for the bottom piece) I have made one of these before but it was smaller and came in a kit. So i was wondering how deep you cut into the blanket for the little dangly things and I know that before you start you have to cut off so much in the corner. Thanks!!
